Aachen SAGA
everything had gone well so far. no one checked our hotel room to discover 3 illegal overstayers cos we booked a room for 2 and squeezed 5 in. yeah, 4 girls and 1 nic in fact!! imagine the queue for the bathroom, luckily two girls shower in the night, two shower in the morning, otherwise we'd never get anywhere!1. the stowaways survived
2. the snowmen were built
3. shopping was done, zaras and h&ms, and mangoes were paid tribute to
4. castles were explored
5. beer was consumed
6. multiple bratwursts consumed
but the train left without chui on one of the train transits at Aachen. truly a once in a lifetime experience. she was debating between 2 train doors, either the one nic went into or the one i went into, she chose mine but by the time she arrived, the 2 seconds decision time cost her the train. with the train moving off and no other trains heading to maas that night we were worried sick when no call came from her till 3 hours later. decided not to go back by cab to aachen for fear she would have left to find shelter anyway. it was 1130pm, chilly wind blowing mercilessly. thank goodness she bumped into 3 other german girls who she hung around with till almost 2.30am before she decided to spend the night as the police station, to be in time for the first train in the morning! not before she scared me out of my wits, for being gancheong for her. chui if you're reading this, next time CALL ME FIRST!!!
anyway it wasnt the most perfect ending, but thank goodness she's back in safe hands now
