Carnaval!!
oops. looks like i've got a lot of catching up on blogging to do. sigh too lazy and there's too much to write. and everytime i start i'll just ramble ramble ramble...and some of you think i'm on a perpetual holiday cos of the photos and that i dont talk about work. haha NOT TRUE!!! but anyway i'm going to continue about the fun bits!here's the rough gist.
5-7 feb: Carnaval celebrations
this is when the whole town goes mad and everyone, yes from the toddlers people our parents' age, dress up and parade the streets to join in the merry making. spent saturday the 5th nuaing after waking up at 3pm after fri night's clubbing. had dinner and started planning the germany plan!! see the carnaval pictures here :) in the day, families and friends go out thematically. saw a family of cows (complete with udders!), family of mice, family of pigs, family of goths, even a family of giraffes out on the streets. soak in the atmosphere and everyone's so jolly and happy. as we were along the streets someone grabbed onto celine's foot and tried to fit a shoe on it, playacting with her as cinderella. at night...thats where the real party starts! the squares in the city central are teeming with 'animals', creatures and all sorts of people. frankly speaking i still dont know the purpose of the carnval even now that its over hehehehe. it gave us a break for 1 week..........who's complaining!! in in clubs you see these people dancing alongside with you, now why doesnt singapore have something like that. spontaneity is so missing back home.
