Take me back

Had lunch with a friend in between classes and meeting lately, and its started becoming a regular escape from work for the both of us. Its funny how we got close. From our MA project, to MPW project, to Corporate Reporting project... thats not too bad, I think actually I've not done more projects with anyone else! AHA our very interesting Corporate Reporting project that even the prof remembers to today. Actually all the projects we've done together have been pretty uncommon ones. MA: budgeting for our diamond shop.; MPW: Drawing correlations between colour and gender; Corporate Reporting: not much room for deviance so we had to make do with a striking cover page ;)

Just random banter of how our time in uni has ticked by unnoticed and how casual friendship has bloomed into something so much more. And how funny it is that other people talk to him about work work work while when we hang out, thats usually the last thing we talk about!

Thank you J for your friendship as we continue to keep each other sane and watch the future unfold. AND I WILL BEAT YOU AT MINESWEEPER, you tyco!!

Another thought has been lingering. Ever wondered why some people are brought into our lives, just for that little time, and just when something is starting to take root you have to part. Not by choice but by circumstance too. Being reunited with someone like that lately has left me chewing on this for awhile. Stuff like culture, personalities, norms, things you wish you had but know are impossible, they all somehow find their way into the picture. What ifs cloud in. Then you go back to the original question and throw the question of why that person was even brought into your life. Would it have been better not to have met? Four months were at my disposal yet only we were given just one week. Oh well. Something I've not figured out yet...... And you think of what you have, thoughts like that fade away. You smile because there will never be anything more beautiful than what you have with that special someone.
