windmill land
such pretty flowers, especially all in bloom. we checked out a lil town near amsterdam. Zaanse Schans - home of the windmills. there are supposed to be 12 windmills there and only 6 are working. we went just for a short hour or so to see the windmills and the view from the bridge there is absolutely superb. its serenity and calming takes you on a little daydream. well certainly not for the happening city kids, but its a really pretty break from singapore, imagining what the little canals here were used for last time. canals and riverways transported the flour/paint/whatever from windmills to everywhere in netherlands then.OH YAH and see the pic, we even saw the bridge being raised for the boats to go through... had to get a shot of that. haha yes WE ulu singaporeans...
